tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?

ROCKIE SAYS: my earliest thought is when I was around 2 or 3. My grandmother would force me to nap and I would always cry and run to my great grandfather because I didn’t want to sleep. I would always fall asleep curled up in the chair with him anyway

for some strange reason:

we continue to get notifications about people following us on this here tumblr, despite having moved the-wanderlusters to blogspot. we’ve decided that if people still want to follow us on here, we will still update here as well.

we won’t be posting full blogs here. instead we will use tumblr to link to the new blogspot posts as well as post random inspiration and answer questions via the tumblr ask feature. tumblr will remain just a side blog.

hope you guys enjoy. we have updates for the blogspot soon!

it’s not you tumblr, it’s us… really!

Dear tumblr,

you have been great to us, really. I mean, we’ve shared good times, bad times, and I promise we’re going to continue to be really good friends, okay? (by really good friends, I mean we are never going to see each other and if we accidentally run into each other one day, it’s probably going to be unbearably awkward)

but… there is this new guy. his name is blogspot. I know, I know… this is really sudden, but look… I don’t think you have ever taken this relationship seriously.

SO UH, if you didn’t get the gist, we’re moving onto bigger and better things, namely:

http://the-wanderlusters.blogspot.com/

We regret to inform you that we will no longer be updating this tumblr! We really, really appreciate you all and we’re thrilled that we hit 700 followers. We would love if all 700 would continue to follow us there! If you do not have a blogspot, you can follow us using bloglovin’ (there is a link in the sidebar of the new address) We hope to see you on blogspot :)

xoxo

Red Carpet Favorites

Currently Listening: Spanish Sahara by Foals

It feels like I haven’t posted in ages! So sorry for the delay—these last few weeks have been a blur. I’m just counting down the days till spring break—although these last 5 days will be the hardest: quiz, test, and two essays due (why am I blogging again?)! But I took out time today to watch the Academy Awards. I love the Oscars so much, from the quirky hosts to the amazing performances, and lets not forget—the fashion. So (as usual) here’s a list of some of my favorites from this year!

1. Kate Winslet- Yves Saint Laurent (again)

Okay, so I lied. This had to be my hands down favorite of the night. It’s the epitome of YSL and Kate pulled it off, as usual, effortlessly.Beautiful champagne color, perfect eyebrows and millions of dollars of Tiffany’s jewelry. I don’t think Kate should ever stop wearing YSL, the house has clearly been good to her.

2. Sandra Bullock- Marchesa

I love Sandra Bullock. The picture doesn’t do justice to the sheer amount of detail that went into this gown. Next to Kate’s dress, if I were to win an Oscar, I’d love to be wearing this.

3. Zoe Saldana- Givenchy Haute Couture

(SOURCE)

Zoe’s been getting a lot of negativity surrounding this dress. I think it’s beautiful and the color goes perfectly with her skin. This gown (along with the entire spring 2010 couture collection) was like a breath of fresh air coming from the house that has been cranking out rock & roll chic. The dye job is impeccable and the glitter is just enough to keep it looking sophisticated, and not tacky.

4. Diane Kruger- Chanel Haute Couture

ALL. HAIL. KARL. From the Fall 2009 Haute Couture line. I’m in love with this. I remember thinking when I first saw this dress a year or so ago on style.com, that someone was going to wear this and it was going to be a disaster. I’m glad that I was proven wrong by Ms. Kruger—I can’t imagine that anyone else could have pulled it off so well.

Overall, it seemed like a good haul this year for the red carpet. There were a few blunders here and there, but still, there were no Bjork Swans or Cher fro’s— thank goodness. I left out the Armani Prive’s on purpose. This year, it seems as though they only looked good on the runway and not so much the Red Carpet. Let me know if I missed any of your favorites.

Till Next Time,

Sati
